When you ask, “Why?” it usually drives people into their defenses. Most of the time, it’s not too helpful; they feel judged, as though you've said, "Defend yourself!" Questions like “How?” and "What?" work better; these simple words direct us to our experience, to what is. They activate our Attention, a closer examination of our actual living.
