Duty‑driven good works may do less damage than evil acts (may!), but they certainly do less good than the generous act that rises, free from expectation, out of a spontaneous heart . . . like a child’s.
Doing Good
To Do This Week

If you have an opportunity to do good today, don’t tell anybody. If you have a good kid who likes to be with you, take them along (if possible) as you serve. Let them feel your soft heart.
If your heart is hardened, maybe a kid could help. See if a good one would like to hang out with you and your hard heart.
