Pray, sure, but do it in your very own private way. You might begin with an event or relationship that is concerning you because it's not unfolding as it should. Now, in God's presence, take a step back to an opposite outcome (the one you dread). See if you can imagine good consequences from the outcome you've feared. Finally, allow yourself to remain suspended in the uncertainty, feeling vulnerable or helpless between these possibilities.
This little experiment allows you to step out of your ideas in order to draw nearer to the God that's larger than your conceivings.
